UV-C sterilization devices

Clean air, protected against microorganisms, with UV-C in air handling units and ducts.

What is UV-C?

The biologically most effective ultraviolet light lies in the UV-C band below 280 nm, with peak germicidal effect around 253.7 nm. UV-C disrupts the RNA and DNA of microorganisms and stops them from reproducing.

Used in drinking water, wastewater, food processing and ventilation, the method directly improves the quality of the air delivered by air handling units.

Applications

AHU coil application
Disinfects coil surfaces in new or existing air handling units and prevents microbial growth. Used in mixed-air units with a suitable coil layout.
Duct application
Where microorganisms and odour particles in return air must be treated outside the AHU, the UV-C device is mounted on the return duct.

Advantages

  • Effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa
  • Works immediately
  • Easy to install and maintain
  • Reliable and environmentally friendly
  • Easy to control

UV-C light can harm eyes and skin. Devices are installed inside closed AHUs and ducts in line with safety rules.
